Goji Lycium barbarum L. (Solanacee)

The Goji is a shrub of perennial sheets that grows vertically up reaching 3 meters high. Its fruits, the Goji berries, also called "fruit of the longevity" or "fruits of life", are grown in the Himalaya’s valleys, and they are well known in the world for its extraordinary nutritional properties. In fact, they are particularly rich in natural antioxidants, vitamins and mineral salts, polysaccharides, carotenes and flavonoids, becoming an exceptional food for the good maintenance of the organism. The berry is typical, of a burning red color which is like a thin and elongated cherry, with an agarbadle sweet flavor.
