Fig tree Dottato: A big tree with a moderately vigorous and open shape, with whole, trilobed and pentalobed leaves, with shallow cavities between lobes. Produces early figs from 28/06 to 15/07. In the winter years not many figs are produced. The figsin the early years 65 gr, have a pear shape or ovoid, yellow-green skin, open ostiole, pink violet faded pulp, aromatic and consistent color. Figs mature from 15/08 to 25/09, with an average weight of 60 gr with spinning top shape, with the ostiole bracts half opened, greenish yellow skin with clear amber or pink color pulp, juicy with soft consistent, aromatic, sweet honey taste and which are loved by the customers. They are also suitable for droughts.

The cultivation of the FIG TREE is extremely interesting and current. The fruit, with a high demand on the market, has high prices. The plant, typically Mediterranean, adapts to dry climates and mountainous terrain, poor and no watered. Anti-parasitic treatments are no necessary, so the product is 'organic'.

PRUNING: Is simple, doesn’t need fruit thinning

PLANTATION FRAME: Plantation frame 4x4 to 5x5. In general there are 2 productions: the first fruits called early fig, and the second one called fig.
